What does StratInterviews cover?
StratInterviews covers the three key steps to prepare and succeed in strategy interviews: learn, practice, apply. Learn more on our Courses page.

Why do I need StratInterviews?
We believe joining a strategy firm can be a game changer in a career and is absolutly worth the upfront prep effort to succeed and land an offer. We have designed StratInterviews to help motivated candidates who do not have the luxury to have access to a friend or coach who has had the experience of recruiting for a strategy consulting firm. We provide them with insights on recruiters expectations, the core knowledge required (in a concise form) and a safe environment to practice and self-assess to improve.

Who designed this training program?
The whole training program has been designed and written by strategy consultants, formerly responsible for the recruitment of Interns, Consultants, Senior Consultants, Managers and Senior Managers.

Where are case studies coming from? Are they realistic?
Interactive case studies are all inspired by actual strategy cases we worked on, and used in recruitment interviews. They have been designed for educational purposes. Companies in these case studies, countries they operate in, their financials and all specific context elements are fictional. Any resemblance to actual companies or events is thus purely coincidental.

How much time will it take me to prep?
Our experience shows that the intensive program requires a minimum of 45 hours to be completed (learning, practicing & thorough self-assessment). This is equivalent to 1h/day for 6 weeks if you have time to prepare. This can be condensed to 2-3 weeks assuming you can do more extensive prep during the weekend.

What consulting firms' recruitment processes are you preparing for?
StratInterviews has been designed to help candidates up to Senior Consultant level go through Tier 1 Strategy firms interviews. Competencies and techniques also apply to all other firms using case studies and motivation questions. Candidates applying for Manager roles would be expected to fully master the whole content of the program but would be tested on other aspects such as team and client management as well as business development.

What happens if I do not get an offer?
StratInterviews provides you with a comprehensive suite of preparation tools to maximise your chances to land a strategy consulting job. If you do not get an offer, we advise you to look into corporate stategy roles and apply again after 2 years. This might give you an opportunity to join at a more senior role.

ACCOUNT & BILLING
Can I get my license to access the StratInterviews courses extended or renewed?
The 12-month licence should in theory be sufficient to prepare and conduct interviews. Should you wish to prepare over a longer period and sign-up for a 6-month extension, please send us a message via the contact form at least 48 hours prior to your planned licence expiration.

How long can I access my video recordings?
You can access your videos as long as your licence is valid. Throughout this period, you can download them through "My Account" then "Videos". We will send you a reminder shortly before your licence expiry to remind you to download these if you are keen to keep them.

How to cancel my account?
Simply send us a request via the contact form. Note that cancelling your account is an unreversible process. If your licence expires, nothing prevents you from keeping your account in case you would like to use it again later on.

How to change my username / password
You can change your password by clicking on "My Account" then going into "Settings". You can also change your email address and update all your additional information in the other Account sections. You however cannot change your username.

How to log out?
Simply click on Log Out in the top right corner of the page

I paid twice because my credit card didn’t go through the first time. Is there a risk I might be charged twice?
No. You shouldn’t be charged twice, but if you are, you will be refunded automatically. Should there be an issue, please send a message through the contact form and we will solve this.

TECH
SETTINGS
My microphone and / or camera is not detected
If your microphone / camera is external, make sure there are properly connected and activated (and not muted). Then make sure you have granted them access in your browser (detailed instructions for Chrome are available here; instructions for Firefox are available here). Also tick the box 'Remember this decision' or 'Always Allow' to avoid a prompt on each page load.

I can't hear the voice from the interviewer or the top candidate?
Check that your speakers are on and that your volume is high enough

I can’t see myself on the webcam test page
If you have the minimum tech requirements, do not see an issue in the troubleshooting table and still can't see yourself, another application such as Skype, Facetime or Google Hangout must take priority over your browser. Close them and try again. If not working still, try to restart your computer.

I am in the middle of a Practice or Apply interactive exercise (case study, quant question or fit & motivation question), can I come back later?
Absolutely! The system records automatically your progression. Note: you cannot pause when listening to the interviewer.

Something went wrong and my curriculum progression is inaccurate
If for some reason you went backwards or skipped steps in Practice or Apply interactive exercises, please drop us a note via the contact form. Tell us what happened and what was the last exercise you had completed. We will sort this for you ASAP (usually within 24 hours).
